Description: | The Communications: Art, Media, Theatre Program at Vanier is distinctive in that it offers a balance between studio-work and study of theory in four interrelated disciplines: studio arts; film and media studies; photography; and theatre. As a result, students obtain a diverse foundation of knowledge which can assist in applying to university programs requiring a portfolio of creative and academic work. As well, in the Portfolio courses, students build a portfolio they can use for admission to certain university programs. |

Admission to the College is on the basis of the Quebec Secondary School Diploma (Diplôme d’études secondaires); or the Quebec Diploma of Vocational Education (Diplôme d’études professionnelles) with Secondary 5 first and second languages as well as Secondary 4 Mathematics; or equivalent scholarity completed outside the province.
Everyone is welcome; no prior experience in art or media is necessary to enter our program, to discover new talent and learn new skills. Our approach is interdisciplinary and we encourage students in other programs to take our courses as complementaries. Students who graduated Secondary School prior to 2010 with Math 416 only are eligible to apply to this program. |
